Steve Green

Pilot

Captain Steve Green began his flying career in the late 70's. After completing his initial flight training, he served as a flight instructor for two years. After that he flew freight for an operator in eastern Kentucky. In 1986, he accepted a position flying for STAT MEDEVAC where he flew both Learjets and King Air air ambulance operations worldwide. He was part of a team that developed procedures to allow charter operators access to the North Atlantic Track System. This system then became the standard for the Pittsburgh FAA.

In 1996, Captain Green was offered and accepted a temporary assignment at his previous employers base in Singapore. There he flew missions throughout Asia, Austronesia and the Sub-Continent. In the previously mentioned locations, the aviation system does not enjoy the level of organization and professionalism we take for granted in the western world. This experience has proved to be invaluable and continues to serve him well.

Stephen rose to become a company Captain, then Instructor Pilot, then Check Airman, then Assistant Chief Pilot and finally Chief Pilot/ Fixed Wing. In his twenty-one year tenure with Corporate Jets, he has amassed nearly ten thousand hours of incident and accident free flight time and has flown to every continent except Antarctica. In 2007 the fixed wing flight department for CJ Systems closed.

Stephen is very enthusiastic about using his vast experience to serve the customers of Voyager Jet.

Captain Green is currently flying on the Lear 31A and has assumed the position of Director of Training for Voyager Jet.

He lives south of Pittsburgh with his family on a small farm. He spends his time off turning their back pasture into a runway for their antique airplane. He hopes someday to get an assignment to fly to Antarctica.
