Charles J. Dunn
Pilot
Captain Charles J. Dunn attended Iowa Wesleyan College and the University of Southern Nevada. While attending Southern Nevada in 1968 and living adjacent to Las Vegas' McCarran airport, Charlie's interest in aviation began. Upon returning home from college he decided to take his first flight lesson and has never looked back.
Charlie holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, certified for multiengine land and sea operations as well as a Certified Flight Instructor rating. His varied fixed wing background includes flight instruction, scheduled cargo and commuter operations, as well as on demand charter. He has gained extensive international experience flying to Europe, Africa, South America and the Pacific basin while being employed for 17 years as a Gulfstream and Hawker pilot with a Fortune 100 corporation.
Charlie has an FAA First Class Medical Certificate and is type rated in the Hawker 125, BD-700, Lear Jet and the Gulfstream II, III, and IV.
Being part of the aviation community for over 39 years has enabled Charlie to amass over 16,000 accident and incident free flight hours of which over 9,000 hours have been in jet aircraft with the vast majority in the Gulfstream III and IV aircraft.
Charlie resides in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania with his wife Connie and their son Travis. When free time presents itself, Charlie enjoys hunting and fly fishing. Charlie says that this is the most enjoyable way to spend his leisure time.
